The authors do not disappoint in terms of the prepared envelope and it is for this reason that I regret that they did not take care of the appropriate balance or adapting the title to a much wider audience. The game is definitely too easy, which on the one hand is understandable, because I can assume that the title is intended to hit the hearts of younger players, but we must not forget that PlayStation VR has some age restrictions, and I’m sure you can’t talk about it here. Quill travels through different locations, has the opportunity to use the sword to fight the enemies he encounters, or he solves environmental puzzles, and this is where the developers fail in some way. The creators were so busy creating the said account and forgot about some challenges. A mouse with great potentialĪll positive impressions are a bit wasted by purely genre elements. Before reaching production, I was afraid that it would be another asexual item on PlayStation VR, but this time I was very positively surprised. These are just some of the small details that made Moss surprised me very positively. It probably sounds a bit strange, but I haven’t had the opportunity to meet such a cute creature for a long time – Quill is sometimes scared, after good cooperation, he goes to the monitor and gives us a “high-five”, and when we do not act for too long, he makes a squeal encouraging us to act. Polyarc could offer another typical platformer, but their idea significantly expands a typical representative of the genre.ĭuring the game, of course, we have the opportunity to control the filigree hero, but even in such a situation, the character has his own personality. We, as the recipient of the story, are not only its passive “viewer”, because Quill connects with us, thanks to which we turn from the viewer into a real player … And even more, because the developers create an interesting relationship at the recipient level with this little mouse that shows that the studio has done its homework. This is an extremely interesting concept because the authors have managed to offer a story that you can soak in. The game is presented in the form of a great book, which is read by the player-reader. This story is not very extensive, it does not have many unique moments, but its strongest aspect is the form of presentation, because the creators from Polyarc allow the player to immerse themselves in the world of fairy tales. In Moss we will learn the fate of a tiny mouse named Quill, who was not ready for a big story, but in the face of a threat, she grabs a little sword and sets out to help her uncle. It is for this reason that I rarely heard about Moss, and it is one of the most interesting propositions debuting on Japanese equipment. ![]() In recent months, Sony has been focusing almost exclusively on the promotion of hits aimed at PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro, so I’m afraid that some little gems may be lost in the depths of hits such as the upcoming God of War.
